British Racing Green, Black Cloth, No 522 Of Only 751 Produced, 1 Lady Owner From New, Previously Serviced By St James - In 1974 British Leyland decided that they should celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the MG marque the following year. A special edition of the MGB GT was produced for sale in 1975. The Jubilee Special Edition cars were all finished in a special British Racing Green paint, with gold stripes and detailing, and several extras such as carpeted interiors, gold painted MG V8 alloys and tinted windows. Each of the MGB GTs was given a unique identifying number with an engraved brass plate on the glove compartment. In all 751 MGB GTs (one car was damaged and so a replacement was produced hence the odd production number), one MGB roadster, one Midget and one MGB GT V8 were made. There are now thought to be less than a third of them left. - This particular car had been owned from new by a local customer of ours. We have looked after the car since 2004 in which time it has only covered less than 600 miles! The car has recently undergone a full new MOT, service and had a new starter motor fitted ready for sale. A full history of the car is available from new. Overall the bodywork is in very good original condition with just the odd few honest blemishes here and there.
